Copyediting is the process of revising written material to ensure its clarity, consistency, and concision. Copyeditors focus on finding and correcting grammar, spelling, punctuation, and other mechanical issues within a manuscript.
I am a certified copyeditor. After graduating from the Cinema-Communications Profile at Dawson College (Montreal, Canada) in 2013, I moved to Los Angeles where I continued to explore my passion for the arts. It wasn’t long before I connected with Hollywood screenwriters. As I read through dozens of screenplays, I discovered my natural skill for copyediting and quickly established a loyal client base.
In 2014, I enrolled in University of California in San Diego’s copyediting certificate program. The program enhanced my editing skills and gave me the necessary tools to be a successful copyeditor. I graduated from the program in 2015 and launched my freelance career shortly thereafter.
I offer a range of writing services, including light developmental writing and/or editing, as well as copyediting. As a quality book-creating company, it's important to me that all aspects of my finished books are polished, which is why I recommend my in-house editing services to clients who opt to include text in their books.
I also take on independent writing and editing contracts particularly for online media, such as website copy (short bios, product descriptions, etc.), social media, blogs, external emails, and so on. I am most familiar with The Chicago Manual of Style, but I can adapt to any style guide.
Writing assignments vary tremendously in scope, thus I quote each project individually and customize my pricing to suit your specific needs.
